Inspire by FM Berlin

Go beyond prescribed protocols.

Gain freedom through exploration.

Move, learn, grow, transform.

The event will be based on research collaboration between Stefan and Filip – the presented material will be grounded in structures of FM Practice (fightingmonkey.net).

Fighting Monkey is an applied practice for human development through movement founded by Linda Kapetanea and Jozef Frucek. Since 2002 Linda and Jozef have been developing it through a deep study on cross motion analysis and with aim to understand the principles of the human movement, communication and the aging process.

FM Practice research is centred around communication, physical dexterity and creative thinking and moving to be capable of solving real life problems and thrive in life.

Practice should have 3 fundamental building blocks to offer you capacity to cope with changing and challenging lives we live:

FEEDBACK

You need appropriate feedback, to recognise and inform you that you are in trouble.

CORRECTION

Practical tools to correct those errors.

BETTER PLANNING

It should provoke creativity and ingenuity to keep the window of plasticity open. This allows you to keep learning and improving your knowing and responding, and helps you to plan and prepare better for an enjoyable future.

During the workshop we will work on:

- Mapping the structure of our body

- “Cleaning practice”

- Improving coordination and collaboration of joints

- Universal coding

- Improvisation

- Movement situations

- Movement in relations: to objects, sounds, spaces, other human beings

- Constrained environments inviting us to creative action and searching

- Adaptability, responsivness and variability

- Dynamical stability of our organism

- Dealing with uncertainty
